Possumblog

Not in the clamor of the crowded street, not in the shouts and plaudits of the throng, but in ourselves, are triumph and defeat.--Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

REDIRECT ALERT! (Scroll down past this mess if you're trying to read an archived post. Thanks. No, really, thanks.)

Due to my inability to control my temper and complacently accept continued silliness with not-quite-as-reliable-as-it-ought-to-be Blogger/Blogspot, your beloved Possumblog will now waddle across the Information Dirt Road and park its prehensile tail at http://possumblog.mu.nu.

This site will remain in place as a backup in case Munuvia gets hit by a bus or something, but I don't think they have as much trouble with this as some places do. ::cough::blogspot::cough:: So click here and adjust your links. I apologize for the inconvenience, but it's one of those things.

Oh, let's just call it a day.

As my daddy used to say, I'm tired and feathered. (Which makes sense if you pronounce tired as tarred.) Longish sort of day, and it's going to be a longish sort of weekend, too. Absolutely MUST get the house cleaned up, and some tiny little girl asked me this morning if she could wake up early Saturday and play a game with me. Sure, as long as it's "Watch Quietly While Daddy Snores and Drools." (We have the home version.) I imagine it won't last long--once she's up and moving, there's little short of a tranquilizer dart that can bring her down.

Grass? Aw, the heck with it. I'll get to cut it soon enough without having to worry with it tomorrow.

SPEAKING OF THE YARD, however, I was sitting at the kitchen table yesterday afternoon and got to see my first hummingbird of the season! I was getting worried about the little devils, but if there's one, there'll be a dozen soon, buzzing around like...like...well, like a dozen hummingbirds.

Church Sunday, as usual, and sometime in here I have to have a teacher's meeting to hand out books and such. Next week. Maybe. Or not.

Anyway, it's getting time to head out, so I'll tell you all good-bye and tell you to have yourselves a very good weekend!

See you Monday.
