Possumblog

Not in the clamor of the crowded street, not in the shouts and plaudits of the throng, but in ourselves, are triumph and defeat.--Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

REDIRECT ALERT! (Scroll down past this mess if you're trying to read an archived post. Thanks. No, really, thanks.)

Due to my inability to control my temper and complacently accept continued silliness with not-quite-as-reliable-as-it-ought-to-be Blogger/Blogspot, your beloved Possumblog will now waddle across the Information Dirt Road and park its prehensile tail at http://possumblog.mu.nu.

This site will remain in place as a backup in case Munuvia gets hit by a bus or something, but I don't think they have as much trouble with this as some places do. ::cough::blogspot::cough:: So click here and adjust your links. I apologize for the inconvenience, but it's one of those things.

Kucinich tells Lacey crowd he won't drop out

SCOTT GUTIERREZ THE OLYMPIAN

LACEY -- U.S. Rep. Dennis Kucinich said Wednesday there's "not a chance" he'll withdraw from the Democratic presidential race, despite having fallen far behind his competitors.

"This race could change quickly. Just three weeks ago, it seemed like someone was on top, sailing toward the nomination," he said during an interview before a campaign rally at Saint Martin's College Pavilion.

"I don't think anyone is going to go into the convention with a majority of the delegates," he said. [...]

Speaking on behalf of the petite Ohio representative, campaign spokesman Mohammed Saeed al-Sahaf, appearing relaxed and confident in a Western-style suit and stylish aluminum foil beret, agreed--"These reports you hear of losses to the infidel Kerry and Edwards and the warmonger Clark are all nothing but childish lies. We have won every contest, every caucus, every primary and now lead among all the peoples. You have seen the silly man Dean catching fish with his hands, but it is Beloved Former Mayor of Cleveland who pulled those very fishes from the ocean! And just as the fires of the Cuyahoga River burned with brightness for all to see, so shall all the world see as he goes on to great victories!"
