Much obliged, English fellers!!--Auburn gets $3M from British tech company
In an effort to boost education in wireless-energy technology, Vodafone-US Foundation has picked Auburn University as one of three schools to share $12 million in scholarships.

Auburn's Samuel Ginn College of Engineering has been awarded $3 million to enhance the pool of students in its wireless engineering program. The money will be used for scholarships and graduate fellowships.

University of California-Berkley and the University of Illinois were the other recipients. Auburn engineering dean Larry Benefield says competition for the grant included 14 of the nation's top 25 engineering schools. [...]
