Possumblog

Not in the clamor of the crowded street, not in the shouts and plaudits of the throng, but in ourselves, are triumph and defeat.--Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

REDIRECT ALERT! (Scroll down past this mess if you're trying to read an archived post. Thanks. No, really, thanks.)

Due to my inability to control my temper and complacently accept continued silliness with not-quite-as-reliable-as-it-ought-to-be Blogger/Blogspot, your beloved Possumblog will now waddle across the Information Dirt Road and park its prehensile tail at http://possumblog.mu.nu.

This site will remain in place as a backup in case Munuvia gets hit by a bus or something, but I don't think they have as much trouble with this as some places do. ::cough::blogspot::cough:: So click here and adjust your links. I apologize for the inconvenience, but it's one of those things.

Hey! HEY!! HEYHEYHEY!!

I'll have you know that possums are lovable and clean and pretty and smart and nice and thrifty and kind and fragrant and courteous and witty and sweet and helpful and brave and loyal and thoughtful and inventive and artistic and non-radioactive and...and...

Aw, who am I trying to kid...possums are just plain sickening.

After reading Rob's tender and moving description, though, you might have a better idea where all the stories about UFO/Satanic cult cattle mutilations come from. Although the Tinfoil Beanie Brigade don't want to admit it, it IS possible for a cow to be killed with no visible wound, and then have its whole insides taken out through the, er...bilge port with amazingly little blood loss.

Further, it is interesting that there is a season on tree rats--like Rob, I thought it was open season all year, but here in Alabama, the hunting season runs from September 1 - February 29, although there is no bag limit. The only restriction is: No running of dogs during daytime or after 3:00 A.M. during and in areas of spring turkey season. The trapping season runs November 15 - February 20.

So there. Let's eat some breakfast!
