Not in the clamor of the crowded street, not in the shouts and plaudits of the throng, but in ourselves, are triumph and defeat.--Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

REDIRECT ALERT! (Scroll down past this mess if you're trying to read an archived post. Thanks. No, really, thanks.)

Due to my inability to control my temper and complacently accept continued silliness with not-quite-as-reliable-as-it-ought-to-be Blogger/Blogspot, your beloved Possumblog will now waddle across the Information Dirt Road and park its prehensile tail at http://possumblog.mu.nu.

This site will remain in place as a backup in case Munuvia gets hit by a bus or something, but I don't think they have as much trouble with this as some places do. ::cough::blogspot::cough:: So click here and adjust your links. I apologize for the inconvenience, but it's one of those things.

EVIL DRUG-RUNNING SUVs!--Police: Big ecstasy stash found in SUV during traffic stop
The Associated Press
10/8/2003, 12:32 a.m. CT

WARRIOR, Ala. (AP) -- Two men were arrested and 33.6 pounds of the drug ecstasy was found concealed in the roof of an SUV after a routine traffic stop on Interstate 65, police said.

The men, a Canadian resident and a Houston resident, are charged with possession with the intent to distribute the drug, Warrior Police investigator Corey Archer said Tuesday.

Archer said the men were traveling in a Honda SUV with Canadian plates when they were stopped Monday. He said 57,300 tablets were found. [...]
Yeah, 57,000 tabs of XTC is bad, but they were found in an SUV!! EEEEKKKK!!

I've commented on it before--the type of vehicle is really not material to the story--nothing about an SUV makes it better or worse for drug-running, and to include it in the story just makes it sound like the writer is trying to make an (unrelated) point about the evils of SUVs.

Personally, I blame Canada.
