AN EXTREMELY SILLY COUNCILWOMAN in Pennsylvania could end up getting a good cop killed:

A Pennsylvania councilwoman has accused her borough's lone police dog of racial profiling, leading to calls that the canine be killed.

Dolpho, a 5-year-old German shepherd, can sniff out the difference between marijuana, heroin and cocaine. The dog came from Europe two years ago and is trained in drug detection and patrol.

But councilwoman Wanda Jones Dixon said Dolpho can also tell the difference between blacks and whites, and should be put to sleep.

The idiot councilwoman Dixon suggests that Dolpho the police dog is the canine reincarnation of Theodore Bilbo, guilty of hate crimes and meriting the death penalty. Does this moron really think that with all the training a police dog needs to do its job effectively it's going to be trained as well to go after black people? In the situation cited, the dog got loose accidentally and acted to protect its master. [...]

My prediction: Dolpho's life will be spared but he'll consigned to an intensive course in sensitivity training. Jesse Jackson will demand that the AKC fund one of his programs. Cynthia McKinney will ask if the President profited from Dolpho's school. And Charles Ogletree will file a lawsuit asking for reparations for all black victims of dog bites.
